Squire Patton Boggs Secures Law License in Saudi Arabia
Squire Patton Boggs has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining its law license in Saudi Arabia. This accomplishment places the firm among the first to receive a license to operate in the Kingdom, a distinction granted by the Saudi Ministry of Justice.
Middle East Practice Co-Chairs Gassan Baloul and Tom Wilson commented, “The coming decade promises to be a time of immense growth and development in Saudi Arabia and this marks another exciting milestone in our Middle East expansion strategy.”
The process leading to the law license in Saudi Arabia commenced earlier this year when Squire Patton Boggs entered into a Cooperation Agreement with The Law Office of Looaye M. Al-Akkas. This agreement strategically partnered the global firm with one of Saudi Arabia’s foremost full-service law firms.
In addition to obtaining the Saudi Arabian law license, Squire Patton Boggs has recently taken strategic steps to strengthen its presence in the Middle East. These initiatives include the establishment of an office in Beirut and the recruitment of prominent legal professionals. Notably, the firm welcomed Corporate/M&A partner Omar Momany and Financial Services partner Nima Fath to its Dubai office.
