Simmons with Masdar on €3.2bn Terna Energy deal
Simmons and Simmons advised Masdar, a renewable energy company based in Abu Dhabi, on a €3.2 billion (enterprise value) deal to acquire Greek renewables company Terna Energy.
The deal will result in Masdar acquiring initially 67% of Terna Energy’s outstanding shares, subject to regulatory approvals and conditions. The acquisition will xepand Masdar’s European portfolio unlocking renewable energy capacity and supporting the EU’s net zero by 2050 goals.
