Mazghouny & Co Aids EgyptAlum’s Carbon Footprint Certification

Mazghouny & Co played a pivotal role in assisting EgyptAlum, a prominent aluminum manufacturer in Egypt and renowned across Africa, in its collaboration with TUV Austria, a leading independent testing and certification company. The partnership aims to secure the carbon footprint certificate and the ISO 14001:2015 certificate for EgyptAlum’s operations. 

Working in tandem, both teams will engage in the comprehensive assessment of the carbon footprint of EgyptAlum’s Naga Hammadi factory, encompassing emissions from GHG scopes 1, 2, and 3. Additionally, the collaboration will extend to the creation of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the factory’s aluminum products. 

Mazghouny & Co team, led by senior counsel Ahmed Mostafa (pictured), supported by associates Mohamed Abdelwahed and Ahmed Heiba, assisted EgyptAlum with the review and negotiation of the agreement executed earlier this week with TUV Austria.
