From Madrid to Abu Dhabi: Ramón Hermosilla’s Global Expansion
Ramón Hermosilla Abogados has opened a new office in the capital of the United Arab Emirates in 2024, becoming the first Spanish law firm to set up in Abu Dhabi.
The Madrid-based firm, led by founding partner Ramón Hermosilla Gimeno (pictured), has more than 25 years of experience in providing legal advice specialising in commercial law, arbitration, inheritance, real estate and entrepreneurship, in both national and international markets.
The new office is located in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the city’s financial district par excellence. The professionals in the new office will advise on both the commercial law applicable in the region and the country’s legal regulations.
The firm is launching this project with the aim of advising both Spanish companies with interests in the United Arab Emirates and Emirati companies wishing to access Spain, Europe or even Latin America. According to the firm, Abu Dhabi has become a global business hub and a bridge between East and West, and its strategic location allows Spanish companies to easily access emerging and growing markets, such as clean energy or energy transition.
