White & Case advises Investcorp on US$195M Sukuk Offering 

Global law firm White & Case has offered legal guidance to Investcorp on its recent issuance of Shari’a compliant perpetual non-cumulative capital certificates. The offering, valued at USD195,115,000, was facilitated by IVC Sukuk Limited. 

White & Case partner Debashis Dey, who led the Firm’s deal team, expressed the team’s expertise in capital markets and Islamic finance, particularly in navigating challenging market conditions. Dey further highlighted the collaboration with a syndicate of banks to enable Investcorp S.A. to secure funding through a corporate hybrid subordinated perpetual Sukuk structure. 

The funds raised from the Sukuk offering will be utilized by Investcorp for its general corporate purposes, further bolstering the firm’s operational capabilities.
