HFW Promotes 16 Senior Associates Across Global Network
Global law firm HFW has recently announced the promotion of 16 new Senior Associates, effective from April 1, 2024. This move underscores the firm’s commitment to expanding its talent pool across its international network and core sectors, which encompass the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Additionally, HFW’s global commodities, corporate and commercial, insurance, and shipping groups will benefit from these promotions.

Among the new Senior Associates, three professionals were from the Dubai office:
Andrzej Czernis (Shipping, Dubai)
Specializing in transactional shipping, with a particular focus on the LNG sector, Andrzej advises on shipbuilding contracts, charterparties, and related financing arrangements. He is known for his expertise in supporting both international and local banks and clients on ship finance, as well as other finance transactions and sale and purchase transactions.
Luke Fittis (Shipping, Dubai)
Luke specializes in commercial dispute resolution, with a strong emphasis on international trade. His clientele includes vessel owners, charterers, commodities traders, insurers, and banks. Luke’s extensive experience covers disputes arising under charterparties, sales contracts, and bills of lading. He is well-versed in representing clients in international arbitration and litigation, including before the English High Court and UAE Courts.
Tanisha Saxena (Commodities, Dubai)
Tanisha’s expertise lies in international fraud and insolvency dispute resolution. She handles complex, cross-border, and high-value disputes, often under the jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts, the ADGM Courts, and local onshore Courts. Tanisha also brings substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, across the UAE and the UK.
