Charles Russell Speechlys’ new partner: M. Al Nashar
As of January 2025, Maher Al Nashar (pictured) joins Charles Russell Speechlys Dubai’s litigation team as a partner, after nine years at Clyde & Co.

Maher Al Nashar has three decades of experience advising clients seeking local law advice and litigation strategy across the Middle East and specifically Saudi Arabia. He has worked at several firms, in the region, such as Al Tamimi & Company between 2013 and 2016, and at Clyde & Co. between 2016 and 2024. Much of his work relates to the application of local law within the context of onshore commercial disputes. His practice encompasses both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has expertise in drafting complex legal documents that span various industries such as real estate, commercial, arbitration, and insurance.
Maher has contributed to pleadings before different courts and jurisdictions across the Middle East region, including Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain, and is involved in all stages of court proceedings.
Maher joins the Firm today alongside Corporate Partner, Tun Zaw Mra, in Singapore and Financial Services and Funds Partner, Racheal Muldoon, in the United Kingdom (London). His arrival also follows the recent appointment of Commercial Dispute Resolution Partner, Aline Wey Speirs, in Zurich. He is the third international partner to join Charles Russel Speechlys in the past year.
