ALEC Engineering and Contracting acquires Target Engineering
ALEC Engineering and Contracting, part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) group, has successfully completed its strategic acquisition of Target Engineering, an EPC contractor offering in-house services for major construction disciplines in onshore and offshore areas in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Established in 1975, Target Engineering operates through its four specialized division – mechanical oil and gas, electrical, civil (industrial and buildings) and marine.
Eversheds Sutherland has advised ALEC Engineering and Contracting in the acquisition. The team was led by partner and regional head of m&a, Zeid Hanania (pictured), assisted by principal associates Steve Jennings and Noor Al Heialy, with further support from associate Ryan Todd. Partner Clint Dempsey and associate Pronnoy Sengupta, assisted on finance aspects.
