Sultan Almasoud Joins Saudi Arabia’s CMA Advisory Committee

Sultan Almasoud, Head of Shearman & Sterling‘s Riyadh office in association with The Law Firm of Dr. Sultan Almasoud, has been appointed to Saudi Arabia’s Capital Markets Authority (CMA) advisory committee. Almasoud’s extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions and capital markets within Saudi Arabia led to his selection.

The committee’s primary focus is to offer recommendations and insights on topics presented by the CMA Board. Additionally, it will engage with market participants, assess their responses to new developments or policies, and provide recommendations to enhance market development and investor protection. The committee serves as a consultative body for the CMA Board.

Commenting on his appointment, Almasoud said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role. I look forward to bringing my experience and expertise to the advisory committee, ensuring high quality contributions during my tenure with the CMA, and playing a significant role in the country’s economic development and growth.”
