Sherina Petit Joins Stewarts to Lead International Arbitration
Sherina Petit, an accomplished legal professional with extensive expertise in international arbitration, has taken the helm of Stewarts’ International Arbitration team. In her new role, she is set to spearhead the development of a specialized and market-leading practice within the firm.
Petit’s primary focus will be to execute a targeted strategy aimed at expanding the team’s diversity, broadening the department’s areas of specialization, and increasing its geographical footprint. She joins Stewarts during a period of significant international expansion, signifying her importance in advancing the firm’s global presence.
As Head of India for Stewarts, Petit will be responsible for driving the firm’s international strategy, not only in India but also across Africa, the Middle East, and Singapore. In addition to her key leadership role, she will serve as a member of the Stewarts Executive Committee.
Petit’s vast experience equips her to focus on handling high-value and intricate disputes. She will continue to draw on her extensive knowledge and strategic insights to provide valuable guidance to clients with diverse needs on a global scale.
Upon her appointment, Sherina Petit expressed her enthusiasm for joining Stewarts, a renowned disputes firm with ambitious future plans. Her arrival further strengthens the International Arbitration department, which now boasts 11 dedicated lawyers. It also contributes to the growth of Stewarts, with a total of 84 partners in the firm.
