New Partner Cohort Revealed at Simmons & Simmons

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has unveiled its roster of partner promotions for 2024, comprising 11 lawyers from six countries spanning the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. The promotions are set to take effect on May 1, 2024.

The diverse cohort of newly promoted partners reflects Simmons & Simmons’ strong performance over the past year. Covering a range of practice areas including corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, employment, and financial markets, these promotions highlight the firm’s dedication to delivering top-grade client service and fostering innovation. 

Commenting on the latest round of partner promotions, senior partner Julian Taylor said: “I’m very pleased to welcome this group of exceptional lawyers into the firm’s global partnership. Among the newly promoted partners are David McDonald (pictured left), who leads the firm’s Middle East employment practice from Dubai. With expertise in managing employee risk and navigating complex employment disputes, McDonald brings a wealth of experience to his role, particularly in advising clients within the financial institutions, technology, and healthcare sectors. 

Adam Wolstenholme (pictured right), another newly appointed partner, specializes in advising clients on complex international financial crime and financial services regulatory matters. Based in Dubai, Wolstenholme’s background in both defence and prosecution work, coupled with his in-depth understanding of the Middle Eastern legal landscape, positions him as a trusted advisor in the region’s financial markets.
