Shatha Bakhsh Promoted to Director at Align Technology

In a recent LinkedIn announcement, Shatha Bakhsh (pictured) shared her promotion to Director, Managing Counsel Middle East, Turkey, and Africa at Align Technology, a global medical device company. Bakhsh, who is a Member of Europe, Middle East, and Africa leadership team, will be responsible for overseeing legal affairs and risk management across the region. 

Her new role entails contributing to the development of the regional business strategy, drafting and negotiating contracts, legal entity set-up, corporate governance, and providing guidance on regulatory developments. Additionally, she will handle matters related to advertising and social media laws, product registrations, implementation of new apps and technologies, intellectual property, data privacy, compliance, and liaising with authorities. 

Bakhsh brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having joined Align Technology in 2018 as a senior counsel MEA. Her exemplary performance led to her elevation to senior lead counsel Middle East in 2022. Prior to joining Align Technology, Bakhsh spent seven years at Siemens, where she held various high-responsibility roles, including Key Account Lawyer for Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives Divisions.
