Legal Advisors Abdulaziz Alajlan & Partners, in association with Baker & McKenzie, has bolstered its Regulatory and Public Policy practice in Saudi Arabia with the appointment of Sahal Khalawi (pictured) as a new Partner.

Based in the Riyadh office, Khalawi brings extensive experience in regulatory and public policy matters, offering valuable insights and guidance to clients on complex regulatory issues. His distinguished background encompasses both public and private sectors, including a senior position at The Saudi Royal Court. During his tenure, he provided legal, regulatory, policy, and strategic advice on various matters related to Vision 2030 and other government initiatives and entities. Khalawi has also served at the Saudi Center of Government, where he was seconded to the National Center for Privatization & PPP. In addition, he has received training at an international law firm.
With his comprehensive expertise in strategic corporate and government advisory, legislative drafting, regulatory affairs, and public policy, Khalawi will spearhead the expansion of the firm’s regulatory and public policy practice. He will actively engage with regulators and policy makers to contribute to the dynamic evolution of Saudi Arabia’s regulatory landscape.
