Gowling WLG Appoints Peter Anagnostou in Middle East
International law firm Gowling WLG is reinforcing its International Arbitration practice and disputes team with the appointment of seasoned international construction lawyer, Peter Anagnostou (pictured), in the Middle East.
Anagnostou, with over a decade of experience advising global contractors, developers, and government bodies in the Middle East, joins Gowling WLG in Dubai. His expertise spans commercial litigation and international arbitration, having previously served as special counsel at DLA Piper in Dubai and Sydney.
Throughout his career, Anagnostou has been involved in significant international arbitrations related to major projects, infrastructure, and residential developments across the Middle East. Notable cases include arbitration proceedings concerning the construction of a major shopping mall in Abu Dhabi, a master plan development in Qatar, a museum in Dubai, an international airport project, and a marquee recreational project in Dubai.
Anagnostou’s appointment is part of Gowling WLG’s global expansion strategy in International Arbitration, which includes recent partner hires in Germany and France. His addition strengthens the firm’s presence in key markets and underscores its commitment to providing top-tier legal services globally.
