Norton Rose Fulbright on GTS acquisition of MV Ripley Prosperity
Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has provided legal counsel to Global Trading and Shipping (GTS) in its recent acquisition of MV Ripley Prosperity. The acquisition marks another milestone for GTS, a shipping company established by S’hail Shipping and Maritime Services, a major player in Qatar’s dry bulk carrier industry.
MV Ripley Prosperity, a 2008 dry bulk carrier with a capacity of 76,565 deadweight tons, was built in Japan. As part of the deal, GTS will also enter into a long-term bareboat charter agreement with Ripley Prosperity, UAE, which is owned by the Ripley Group of India.
The Dubai team of Norton Rose Fulbright, led by counsel Manik Verma (pictured), spearheaded the legal support for the transaction.
