Naji Hawayek named Head of Corporate, Middle East at Clyde & Co
Clyde & Co has appointed UAE based partner Naji Hawayek (pictured) to head its corporate and M&A practice in the Middle East.
The announcement came on a LinkedIn post shared by Hawayek saying:” Delighted to take on the role of Head of Corporate, Middle East at Clyde & Co”.
Hawayek has over 15 years of experience advising on corporate matters, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa. He specialises in cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, private equity, investment funds, private placements, corporate restructurings, licensing and regulatory matters, Islamic finance and foreign direct investment.
The veteran law professional first joined Clyde & Co as an Associate in 2006, he has since held various positions of high responsibility, including legal director and partner. Earlier in his career, Hawayek served on secondment from Clyde & Co as legal counsel at Arab Media Group; GEMS Education as well as AkzoNobel.
