MBH: Hassan Allam secures USD 200M Afreximbank Facility
Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (‘MBH’) has provided legal counsel to Hassan Allam Construction and its affiliated entities within the Hassan Allam Group on a USD 200 million facility extended by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). This funding is poised to strengthen Hassan Allam’s expansion initiatives across Africa and the Middle East.
At the Intra-African Trade Fair 2023’s EPC Initiative, Hassan Allam Construction formalized the new Facility Agreement with Afreximbank. The signing ceremony featured Mohy-Eldin Abdin, CFO of Hassan Allam Holding, and Mrs. Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice President of Intra-African Trade Bank at Afreximbank, marking a noteworthy milestone in advancing the group’s regional influence.
MBH represented Hassan Allam Group in respect of the transaction, reviewed the loan agreement, finance and security documentation, and negotiated these on behalf of Hassan Allam Group with Afreximbank and its legal advisor.
