Matouk Bassiouny launches Korea Desk and signs MOU with BKL  

Matouk Bassiouny has unveiled its Korea desk and proudly announced the addition of Jiyoung Bae (pictured) as Partner and Head of the newly established Korea Desk. Bae, a renowned expert in Middle Eastern legal affairs, brings over 15 years of experience to Matouk Bassiouny. 

Prior to joining Matouk Bassiouny, Jiyoung Bae served as a partner at Bae Kim & Lee (“BKL”), stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the region make her a valuable asset to Matouk Bassiouny and its clients. 

In a significant move to foster collaboration between legal experts from different regions, Matouk Bassiouny (“MB”) and Bae Kim & Lee (“BKL”) recently formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This strategic alliance follows a joint seminar graced by the presence of H.E. Sami M. Alsadhan, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Korea, underscoring the importance of international legal cooperation. 

Both MB and BKL plan to carry out numerous projects in the future, which include seeking joint business opportunities, publishing the latest legal information and trends in Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa, and jointly hosting conferences.
