Law Firm Leads the Way with Inaugural ESG Report

Al Tamimi & Company has released its first-ever Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. The report details the firm’s sustainability initiatives that were carried out during 2023. The report highlights the outcomes of the company’s efforts, which include reducing carbon emissions, promoting diversity and inclusion programs, offering pro bono legal services, and supporting local communities.

One of the key highlights of the report is the firm’s dedication to sustainability, which is apparent through various environmental initiatives implemented across its regional offices. Al Tamimi & Company’s commitment to support for local businesses and communities is demonstrated as it saved 3,393 trees through these initiatives and increased spending on procurement from local suppliers by 25%, compared to the previous year.

The company’s commitment to community engagement is evident in its 32% increase in legal pro bono hours and more than a 100% increase in volunteering hours in 2023. The report also highlights the company’s efforts in promoting diversity and equal opportunity, with an increase in female representation in both workforce and leadership positions. The company has seen an expansion in the overall number of partners, with a significant rise in the percentage of female partners, indicating a long-term and continuous effort to improve gender diversity within the leadership. The proportion of women in the workforce has increased by over 11%, making up 46% of the total organization. Women are also increasingly occupying senior and middle management positions, accounting for over 36% of these roles.
