Latham & Watkins Guides Tamara to Unicorn Status

Fintech platform Tamara, advised by Latham & Watkins, has become Saudi Arabia’s first homegrown fintech unicorn after a successful Series C equity funding round.

The $340 million investment, co-led by SNB Capital and Sanabil Investments, signals strong support from new and existing investors, including Shorooq Partners and Pinnacle Capital. The funding, one of the region’s largest fintech investments, underscores confidence in Tamara’s growth and its pivotal role in shaping the Saudi fintech landscape.

Latham & Watkins, a key legal partner, previously advised Tamara on additional debt financing in November 2023, expanding its warehouse facility to $400 million.

The Latham team was led by Dubai partner Eyad Latif (pictured), with counsel Omar Maayeh, and associate Stephanie Dang
