Julien Baubigeat: new Asafo & Co’s partner in Paris
Julien Baubigeat (pictured) joins Asafo & Co as a partner in Paris, together with associate Inès Abdesselem.
About the appointment
Baubigeat and Abdesselem ‘s addition to the international team of ASAFO & CO, already recognised as a leader in M&A/private equity in French-speaking Africa, will significantly strengthen the firm’s capabilities. Their experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, in particular in the WAEMU zone, as well as the natural synergies between the existing teams in Paris, Casablanca, Abidjan, Johannesburg and London, will enable ASAFO & CO. to continue its development in the M&A and private equity fields.
Julien Baubigeat’s career
He has extensive experience in Africa, having acted on all types of transactions, both in Africa and internationally, on behalf of major corporations, financial institutions, investment funds and entrepreneurs. As an advisor to international investors interested in investing in African groups, as well as to African groups wishing to broaden their shareholder base internationally, he has worked in France and the United States, both at Cabinet Baubigeat, the law firm he founded in 2016, and at numerous international law firms (including Orrick, GGC, Linklaters and Haynes & Boone).
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2001, he is recognised in the ranking of the top 100 most influential lawyers in French-speaking Africa, published by Jeune Afrique.
