In a significant collaborative effort, both Jones Day and Shahid Law Firm have played pivotal roles in assisting TotalEnergies with its recent acquisition of Total Eren Holding and its subsidiary entities. This strategic move, aimed at furthering TotalEnergies’ presence in the renewable energies sector, involved a substantial investment of approximately €1.5 billion.

Jones Day’s expertise and legal guidance were instrumental throughout the acquisition process. Their contributions helped navigate the intricate legal aspects of the transaction, ensuring a smooth and successful outcome. Simultaneously, Shahid Law Firm provided valuable insights and support in addressing local merger control legal considerations, playing a crucial role in ensuring the transaction’s compliance with relevant regulations.

TotalEnergies’ acquisition is poised to significantly enhance its Integrated Power Net Operating Income, with a targeted goal of reaching €160 million by the year 2024. Moreover, the anticipated increase in Cash Flow From Operations (CFFO) to €400 million underscores the strategic value of this acquisition.
