Freshfields promotes Walid Salib to counsel 

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has promoted senior associate Walid Salib (pictured) to counsel, as part of the latest promotion round that included 44 new counsel from across all regions and practice groups.  

This group of lawyers is drawn from Freshfields’ deep pool of talent and reflects the firm’s international expertise. They will play an important role in driving forward Freshfields’ growth agenda and people and client strategies.

Salib is the head of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, global transactions practice in Saudi Arabia and is based out of Riyadh. Fluent in Arabic and English, he has significant M&A experience for private equity houses, sovereign wealth funds and family office/holdings. He also advises on strategic joint ventures for leading multinational companies. Salib was also seconded to one of the international banks in Saudi Arabia and Freshfields London office for extended periods of time.
