Former Dentons Saudi head initiates legal action against company
Amgad Husein, the former managing partner of Dentons’ Saudi office, has taken legal action by filing a breach of contract claim against the firm in London. This move comes seven years after his departure from the company. During his tenure at Dentons between 2007 and 2017, Husein played a pivotal role in handling major banking, industrial, and corporate matters for American, European, and Asian institutions operating in Saudi Arabia.
The case has been filed in the Business and Property Courts, a specialized division within the High Court. While the system does not specify the law firm representing Husein, it does mention his barrister as 10KBW’s Sham Uddin. Dentons’ legal team to defend against this claim remains undisclosed.
Both Dentons and Husein have been contacted for their comments on this matter. The outcome of this legal action will be of interest to the legal and business communities, especially given Husein’s prominent role at Dentons and the international nature of the case.
