Elsewedy Qatar wins North Field South Onshore EPC contract
Elsewedy Cables Qatar has secured the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract from Technip Energies France for the North Field South (NFS) Onshore Project. This strategic endeavour aims to establish electricity supply to NFS project facilities by designing, engineering, procuring, and installing two 400kV cables connecting the RLF-S substation to the new 220kV INTAKE SS-36500 substation, which will be equipped with 400/230 kV power transformers
Eng. Ahmed Fathy Elsewedy, the Managing Director of Elsewedy Cables Qatar, expressed his delight at being selected by Technip Energies France for this critical project. Elsewedy Cables Qatar has consistently played a pivotal role in Qatar’s infrastructure development, offering top-quality products, extensive expertise, and unwavering commitment
The 400kV power import lines will serve as the energy backbone for two mega trains, each capable of processing 8 million tons per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This expansion initiative is projected to yield approximately 16 Mtpa of additional LNG, significantly boosting Qatar’s total production from 110 to 126 Mtpa
Elsewedy Cables Qatar takes immense pride in its crucial role in this project expansion and remains steadfast as Qatar’s trusted energy partner. Meanwhile, the Elsewedy Electric Group’s legal team, led by Group Chief Legal Officer Ahmed Zedan, continues to navigate the legal aspects of this significant endeavour
