Ras Al Khaimah to launch RAK Central
Ras Al Khaimah, the northernmost emirate of the UAE, has announced the launch of RAK Central, a mixed-use development that will feature Grade A offices, residential apartments, hotels, retail and entertainment facilities. The project, which is expected to open in 2026, will be developed by Marjan, the master developer of freehold properties in Ras Al Khaimah.
RAK Central will be located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi Street, offering spectacular views of Al Hamra Golf Club, Al Hamra Village and the Arabian Gulf. The development will span over 3 million square feet of rentable office space, more than 4,000 residential units, three hotels with over 1,000 keys, multiple parks and green spaces, and various interconnected buildings with over 1,000 parking spaces for visitors.
The project aims to create a vibrant destination for work, live and play, and to attract leading businesses and entities to set up their headquarters in Ras Al Khaimah. The commercial spaces will be tailored as per the needs of anchor tenants, with open floor plans to facilitate a flexible design. RAK Central will also follow the sustainability principles set out under the LEED Gold Certification, and harness advanced technology solutions, including artificial intelligence, to create a smart and state-of-the-art ecosystem.
RAK Central is part of Ras Al Khaimah’s vision to drive a prosperous and diversified economy, build happy and cohesive communities, secure a sustainable future and safeguard the environment. The emirate has been hosting one of the fastest growing property markets in the Gulf, with signature developments such as the upcoming one from Wynn resorts, the investment flows by Aldar and other developers, as well as the gains made by Rakez, the Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone. More recently, the emirate launched the RAK Digital Assets Authority and a hub for businesses in the virtual assets space.
