Abion Embarks on Global Expansion with Opening of Dubai Office
Abion has taken a landmark step in its global expansion strategy with the inauguration of its newest office in Dubai. This move signifies a significant milestone for the company and reinforces its commitment to delivering top-notch brand protection services to clients worldwide.
“We are excited to open an office in Dubai with a first-class team, thereby strengthening our presence in the Middle East. This expansion not only reflects our commitment to deliver exceptional services to our clients and our dedication to become the number one tech-enabled guardian of brands across the globe, but it also further strengthens the company’s position as a home for ambitious, top-talent in the IP industry,” said Magdalena Bonde, CEO at Abion.
Driving this strategic growth initiative in the region are Nicole Giblin and Mark Devaney, distinguished legal professionals who bring over 35 years of combined experience in the field of intellectual property. Formerly serving as Legal Director and Partner at a prominent international law firm in the Middle East, Giblin and Devaney are highly regarded for their deep industry knowledge and legal acumen. They have a proven track record of assisting major global brand owners and are actively involved in various trademark organizations, earning accolades from industry rankings.
“The addition of Nicole and Mark to our team demonstrates our continuous efforts to build a diverse and skilled workforce that can meet the evolving needs of our clients. I have known them both for a number of years and I am delighted that they have chosen to join Abion during these exciting times and help us drive the change we want in the IP industry” says Jesper Knudsen, Global Managing Partner at Abion.
Joining forces with Giblin and Devaney is Farid El-Hares, a seasoned Paralegal with nearly a decade of experience working with brands across diverse sectors. Together, they are spearheading the establishment of Abion’s presence in Dubai and are already in the process of assembling a talented team.
The decision to set up operations in Dubai underscores the strategic importance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the broader Middle East region in the realm of intellectual property and brand protection. Recognizing Dubai’s status as an innovation hub with a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, Abion aims to leverage its expertise to support companies navigating the dynamic landscape of the UAE.
The new Dubai office will serve as a strategic hub, enabling Abion to provide tailored solutions for clients across the Middle East. From legal services to online brand protection and domain management, Abion’s comprehensive offerings will be complemented by cutting-edge IP technology, ensuring robust support for clients expanding their footprint in the region.
