DLA Piper promotes new partner in Dubai
Among the 62 partners recently promoted by DLA Piper is Dubai-based Adrianus Schoorl (pictured), who joined the firm in April 2024.
Schoorl advises on financial services and payments, including licensing strategies, product terms and specifications, marketing strategies, capital markets compliance, the development of payments and anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory frameworks, and regulatory engagement. His practice also covers data regulation, including GDPR and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) equivalents, as well as technology matters such as outsourcing, e-commerce, social media and crypto-related issues.
He acts for a broad range of clients, including government entities on legislative and regulatory reform projects, payment service providers, digital platform operators, fintech companies and financial institutions, as well as sovereign, public and private equity funds investing in the digital economy through debt and equity structures.
