Gowling WLG has promoted Simon Elliott (pictured) to partner in Dubai, where he has spent over eight years advising on complex cross-border transactions across the MENA region.

Elliott specialises in M&A, joint ventures, and project transactions in the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. His client base spans government entities, multinational corporations, and regional and international sponsors.

Practice focus and expertise

Throughout his career at the firm, Elliott has been advising regional funds on acquisitions across the GCC, as well as strategic cross-border investments and joint ventures in the technology and energy and infrastructure sectors. He also regularly advises on sponsor-side matters on P3 and bilateral projects in the Middle East and Africa, and acts for government authorities on the corporate aspects of such transactions.
