Trowers & Hamlins promotes Bahrain-based Unkar Chanian to partner
Trowers & Hamlins has promoted 10 lawyers to its partnership, effective 01 July 2022.
Unkar Chanian (pictured) from the International Real Estate team in Bahrain is one of the appointed partners. He has a wealth of both international and regional experience in advising on all aspects of commercial property, with a particular emphasis on landlord and tenant matters, hotels and hospitality and large-scale developments. Most recently Unkar worked with the newly established Bahrain Real Estate Regulatory Authority in the drafting of new laws to provide a regulatory framework for the Real Estate Sector in Bahrain.
Chanian has served as senior associate at Trowers & Hamlins’ Bahrain offices since 2019. Prior to that, he was practiced law at Al Tamimi & Company. Chanian started his career as a solicitor at DLA Piper. He later joined Charles Russell and Charles Russell Speechlys.
