The advisors on Egypt’s USD 1.5 billion Sovereign Sukuk

Zaki Hashem (ZH) represented the dealers and arrangers – including included Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC, Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC, First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC, and HSBC Bank plc – on Egypt’s USD 1.5 billion dual-tranche Sovereign Sukuk. The firm collaborated with English legal advisors Linklaters London.

In connection with the deal, Adsero – Ragy Soliman & Partners served as local counsel to the issuing institutions, the Egyptian Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Financial Company for Sovereign Taskeek. Moreover on the issuer’s end, Baker Botts (UK) served as international counsel.
