Tarek Badawy and team join Meysan Partners Egypt office

Meysan Partners’ Cairo office recently witnessed a team expansion with the joining of Dispute Resolution partner Tarek Badawy (pictured) and his Egypt-based team members senior associates Salma Abdelaziz and Ismail Lamie and paralegal Shereen Botros. 

Tarek Badawy, a member of the Egyptian Bar Association and a licensed Barrister and Solicitor of the Court of Appeal in Ontario, Canada, has over 20 years of experience managing large and complex litigation and arbitration in a wide range of areas.  

Badawy specializes in litigation and international arbitration, he represents clients in trade & competition, commercial, media, and investment disputes before international tribunals and commissions, as well as Egyptian courts and administrative authorities. He also sits as an arbitrator, and regularly serves as an expert witness on Egyptian law before courts and international arbitral tribunals. 

Badawy joins Meysan from the Cairo office of Shahid Law Firm, where he has spent the last 9 years. Prior to that, he was a lawyer at Baker McKenzie Toronto office for almost 5 years. His international experience also includes working as a legal consultant at the Euro-Mediterranean Consortium for Applied Research in International Migration (CARIM) in Florence, Italy.
