Squire Patton Boggs’s new partner: Joywin Mathew
Finance specialist lawyer Joywin Mathew (pictured) has joined Squire Patton Boggs as a partner within the firm’s financial services practice group in Dubai, moving from DLA Piper.
The profile
Mathew’s expertise spans structured finance, debt capital markets, fund finance and sustainable finance. His client-base includes investment funds, private credit funds, sovereign governments, multinational corporates, financial institutions and other alternative credit providers.
Mathew’s industrial expertise includes matters related to blue finance and climate finance. Moreover, he serves on the United Nations Global Compact’s Ocean Investment Protocol Advisory Board and is a member of the Legal Experts Committee of the Centre for Sustainable Development. His memberships include the one of the advisory board of the Blue Bond Accelerator (BBA), an initiative from the Ocean Risk Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA).
Mathew started his legal career at White & Case’s London and Singapore offices, with secondments at Deutsche Bank and Citigroup. On 2013 he started working for DLA Piper across Singapore, London, and Dubai.
