Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Thani named Chairman of Ooredoo Kuwait

Ooredoo Kuwait has announced a leadership change with the appointment of Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Thani as Chairman of its Board of Directors. The decision, confirmed by Ooredoo Q.P.S.C., highlights a strategic move aimed at bolstering leadership amid a competitive telecommunications landscape.

Sheikh Nasser, a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in the sector, is currently the Regional CEO of Ooredoo Group for the Middle East. His previous roles include Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo Qatar. Notably, he played a key role in the group’s operations during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Board of Directors expressed confidence in Sheikh Nasser’s leadership, citing his track record in driving organizational performance and strategic growth. Ooredoo Kuwait CEO Abdulaziz Al Babtain noted that the appointment aligns with the company’s focus on enhancing its market presence and operational effectiveness.

Commenting on the appointment, Ooredoo Kuwait CEO Abdulaziz Al Babtain said: “Sheikh Nasser’s extensive experience and leadership qualities will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our market position and deliver innovative solutions to our customers.”
