Shaun Johnson named as BEEAH group general counsel
Sustainability and digital experts currently operating in the UAE, KSA and Egypt, Beeah Group have appointed Shaun Johnson (pictured) as its group general counsel. Johnson reports to the group ceo Khaled Al Huraimel, who highlighted how the role of group general counsel will be critical in shaping the organization’s plans to grow across industries and expand into new territories.
In his new role, Johnson oversees Beeah’s legal team and external counsel to ensure best practices are implemented within the organization and across the group’s multiple businesses and joint ventures. He also provides legal guidance to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, including those relating to governance and ethics, as well as applicable local, regional and international laws.
Johnson joined Beeah’s legal team from Miahona, developer & operator of municipal and industrial water and wastewater assets on PPP structure in Saudi Arabia, where he was most recently vice president of legal. During his extensive career he has served as an in-house counsel for entities in the public and private sectors holding various roles of high responsibility including legal director for Vision Invest PPP unit as well as principal solicitor – projects at Carillion, an international support services group focused on infrastructure and property services.
Alongside his current role as Beeah group general counsel, Johnson is also the Chairman of non-profit organization IPFA (Middle East Council), a role he has held since 2020.
