Reed Smith’s new Middle East managing partner: Anders Nilsson

Reed Smith has appointed Anders Nilsson (pictured) as managing partner of its Middle East offices. The firm’s regional presence includes locations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as a recent opening in Riyadh.

Before the appointment, Reed Smith’s expansion into Saudi Arabia in late 2025 was led by Gregor Pryor, the firm’s EME managing partner.

Nilsson joins Reed Smith from Bird & Bird, where he spent more than 20 years between 2004 and 2025, practising across the M&A, corporate, and aviation areas.
