Raghad Hammad joins BLK Partners as partner
Raghad Hammad (pictured) has joined BLK Partners as partner, after four years as partner and executive director at Al Zu’bi & Partners. She will jointly lead BLK’s regional insurance & reinsurance practice across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, and Bahrain alongside partner Simon Isgar.

Raghad Hammad is a certified legal practitioner and wills draftsman, admitted to practice in the DIFC and ADGM Courts. She is registered with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department and the Jordan Bar Association.
With over 18 years of experience, Raghad Hammad has held key positions in various firms, specifically as an in-house lawyer, including chief of legal at Eastern Investment Group Holding from 2008 to 2011, head of legal at GIG Arab Orient Insurance Company from 2011 to 2013 (all in Jordan). In the UAE she has been senior associate at BSA Law from 2013 to 2020 in the corporate and insurance and reinsurance practices, and partner and executive director at Al Zu’bi & Partners from 2020 to 2024.
She has extensive experience in incorporating and restructuring insurance companies, advising on treaty reinsurance, claims, licensing, and multi-party disputes. She has worked closely with regulators to draft and implement local regulations.
