Pinsent Masons Expands in Abu Dhabi with New ADGM License
Multinational law firm, Pinsent Masons, has taken a significant step to strengthen its presence in the Middle East by securing a license from the registration authority of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This achievement allows Pinsent Masons to operate in the Emirate and establish a representative office on Al Maryah Island in the Abu Dhabi Global Market.
With almost two decades of presence in the UAE, Pinsent Masons has consistently explored avenues to enhance its service offerings to meet the evolving needs of clients. The new representative office will facilitate the firm’s engagement with clients in Abu Dhabi and extend support across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030, which focuses on creating an innovative, sustainable, and modern environment for investors, corporates, and individuals, aligns with Pinsent Masons’ ambitions to expand its footprint and bolster client growth in the region.
Catherine Workman (pictured), Head of Middle East for Pinsent Masons, emphasized the firm’s commitment to clients based in Abu Dhabi, stating that obtaining the license reaffirms their dedication. The representative office will enable Pinsent Masons to deliver an even more engaged and tailored service, particularly benefiting businesses without an existing international presence beyond the Emirate.
Pinsent Masons, with a long-standing presence in the Middle East, serves high-profile clients across core sectors such as energy, infrastructure, technology, science and industry, real estate, and financial services. The firm currently has 79 lawyers based in its Dubai and Qatar offices.
This strategic move in Abu Dhabi follows Pinsent Masons’ broader growth initiatives in the Middle East, including the recent granting of a license to practice law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Catherine Workman highlighted the firm’s dedication to better serve clients’ evolving needs in the region and contribute exemplary legal services on a global scale. The Middle East presents both a thriving business environment and a rich cultural tapestry, and Pinsent Masons is poised to leverage its expertise to support businesses operating in the region.
