Pinsent Masons establishes new Saudi Arabian firm

Pinsent Masons announces the establishment of Pinsent Masons Saudi Arabia Law Firm, kicking-off operations on March 1, 2025. Ibrahim Alajaji, formerly a partner at Alsabhan & Alajaji, will lead the newborn firm in Riyadh. Meanwhile, Alsabhan & Alajaji will maintain its strategic collaboration with Pinsent Masons, continuing under the leadership of Naif Alsabhan.

A sight at Vision 2030

Pinsent Masons’ expansion into the Saudi Arabian market testifies a growing attention to the Middle East region. The move also aligns with the emerging opportunities of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program. Being already present in Qatar and the UAE, Pinsent Masons has actively participated in major projects within the region.

Catherine Workman, partner responsible for the Middle East at Pinsent Masons, commented on the matter: “This is an exciting new chapter for both our firm’s presence in the Middle East and our many clients in the region. The Saudi government’s ambitious Vision 2030 program is creating new opportunities for domestic and international investors, while transforming the Kingdom’s legal and regulatory landscape.”

The reactions: developing talent and expanding operations

“This move presents a multitude of opportunities for Saudi legal talent. Young professionals will have the opportunity to participate in high-value transactions and complex legal matters within a leading international law firm. Through a structured training program they will develop their expertise in the country’s ever-evolving legal and regulatory landscape.” Commented Ibrahim Alajaji, managing partner of Pinsent Masons Saudi Arabia.

Naif Alsabhan, Managing Partner of Alsabhan & Alajaji, added:  “We have built strong relationships with clients across the Kingdom, and Alsabhan & Alajaji will continue to expand its Litigation and Legal drafting practices. This new phase will enable us to better support both domestic and international companies operating in the country.”
