Pérez-Llorca to open in Abu Dhabi in 2026

Pérez-Llorca will open an office in Abu Dhabi in 2026, to be located in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

The new opening will be led by Gonçalo Capela Godinho (pictured), currently country chair of the firm’s Lisbon office. He will be joined initially by two Pérez-Llorca associates, who will relocate to Abu Dhabi as part of the launch team.

Following Capela Godinho’s move to Abu Dhabi, the Lisbon office will be led by Carlos Vaz de Almeida, who will assume the role of managing partner, while Inês Arruda and Adolfo Mesquita Nunes will serve as country co-chairs.

The context

The future Pérez-Llorca office in Abu Dhabi is conceived as a platform for relationship-building, deal origination and transaction execution, designed to support Gulf investors in overseas investment projects, working in close collaboration with Pérez-Llorca teams in Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Colombia, as well as with the Lusophone Africa practice coordinated from Lisbon.
