Pinsent Masons names Pamela McDonald as new head of its Doha office

Pinsent Masons has appointed international arbitration partner Pamela McDonald (pictured) as the new head of its Doha office, effective 01 July. She succeeds Jonathan Collier who has held the position since 2018.

McDonald is an international arbitration specialist, primarily advising clients across the Middle Eastern region in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Recent significant projects she has advised on include Hamad Airport, the Doha Metro, independent power and water plants, hotels, stadiums, malls and oil and gas processing facilities.

Catherine Workman, head of Pinsent Masons in the Middle East said, “Pamela is a well-respected and established lawyer in the region, particularly across the infrastructure and energy sectors. Pamela’s experience as an established lawyer on the ground in Qatar will be invaluable.”

McDonald started her journey with Pinsent Masons as a trainee in 2009. During the years she held roles with increasing responsibilities. She joined the Doha office in 2015 as an associate and made partner in 2021.
