Norton Rose Leads Inaugural Chimera S&P India ETF Launch

Assisted by global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, Lunate Capital has launched the Chimera S&P India Shariah ETF, marking the region’s inaugural exchange-traded fund (ETF) that monitors Shariah-compliant Indian stocks.

The Chimera S&P India Shariah ETF, characterized by its physical, in-kind, liquid, and fully fungible nature, is overseen by Abu Dhabi-based alternative investment manager Lunate Capital LLC. It debuted on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on January 26, 2024.

ADX, renowned for its rapid growth, solidifies its status as the MENA region’s premier ETF market by introducing the Chimera S&P India Shariah ETF. This move provides UAE investors with direct exposure to the Indian market, enhancing ADX’s appeal as a leading investment platform.
