MBH advises Noatum Maritime on Safina B.’s majority stake acquisition

Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy (“MBH”) acted as the legal counsel to Noatum Maritime (“Noatum”) – a multinational group in transport and logistics services, and an Abu Dhabi Ports PJSC Group company – in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in Safina International B.V. which owns Safina Shipping Services, a provider of maritime agency and cargo services in Egypt and across the Middle East region.

About the acquisition

The acquisition by Noatum marks a significant strategic development for the Spanish company to enhance its service offerings and strengthen its presence in key markets across Egypt, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Safina B.V. operates from 6 strategic locations across Egypt, including its headquarters in Cairo, providing
essential services across 15 Egyptian ports, including major hubs like Sokhna, Adabiya, Damietta, Port
Said, and Alexandria
