Mazghouny & Co Guides Scatec in Green Ammonia Agreement 

Mazghouny & Co played a key role in facilitating the agreement between Scatec and the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (Echem) and Misr Fertilizers Production Company (Mopco). The signing ceremony unfolded on December 2, 2023, against the backdrop of COP28 in Dubai (UAE). Notably, the event was graced by the presence of dignitaries such as HE Eng Tarek El-Molla, the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and HE Dr Rania Al-Mashat, the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation. 

The agreement stems from a joint development agreement inked among the three partners back in February 2023. It specifically pertains to “Damietta Green Ammonia SAE,” a public free zone company. Notably, the virtual incorporation of this entity was skillfully executed by the Mazghouny & Co team. This landmark event took place in the esteemed presence of HE Dr Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, marking a historic milestone as the inaugural Egyptian company to achieve digital registration with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) of Egypt.
