Mazghouny & Co with Amarenco Solarize Egypt in new solar plant

Mazghouny & Co has provided legal counsel to Amarenco Solarize Egypt (ASE), a prominent solar energy solutions provider, in connection with its agreement signed in November 2023. The agreement involves partnering with Oriental Weavers, a major carpets and rugs company, to supply solar energy to one of its factories located in the Tenth of Ramadan area in Egypt. 

This collaboration will result in the establishment of a 1.3MW solar power plant, catering to 80% of the factory’s energy requirements. The initiative is projected to make a substantial impact by reducing carbon emissions by over 2,300 tonnes annually. This aligns with Oriental Weavers’ strong commitment to sustainable practices, emphasizing the company’s goal of transitioning all its factories to environmentally friendly and clean energy sources.
