Jody Waugh elected as new Managing Partner of Al Tamimi & Company

Al Tamimi & Company, the leading law firm in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced the election of Jody Waugh as its new Managing Partner, effective from 1 January 2024. Jody Waugh will succeed Samer Qudah, who has been leading the firm since 2019 and will continue as Partner and Head of Corporate Structuring.

Jody Waugh has been with Al Tamimi & Company for over 16 years, serving as Partner, Head of Banking & Finance, and Deputy Managing Partner. He has been instrumental in developing the firm’s Banking & Finance practice, which has become a regional leader with an unrivaled reputation. He has also worked closely with the firm’s management and partners to position Al Tamimi & Company as the leading law firm in the region.

Jody Waugh has a distinguished track record of advising some of the region’s leading banks and financial institutions on complex and innovative transactions. He is a highly respected practitioner whom Legal 500 describes as ‘technically excellent and diligent’.
