HFW Welcomes Abdulrahman Al-Ohaly to Riyadh Practice

Global law firm HFW has bolstered its growing Middle East practice with the appointment of partner Abdulrahman Al-Ohaly in Riyadh. Al-Ohaly (pictured), a seasoned legal professional with expertise in commercial litigation and corporate transactions, joins HFW from DWF, marking the fifth partner addition to the firm’s Middle East team in the last 18 months.

This strategic move follows the recruitment of Riyadh corporate partner Euan Pinkerton, Dubai construction partner Slava Kiryushin, and esteemed Dubai shipping and offshore experts Rob Lawrence and Ian Chung. HFW has recently relocated aviation specialist Francesco Fiorilli from Dubai to Riyadh and Master Mariner Shamsheer Singh from London to Dubai, solidifying its unique position as the only law firm in the Middle East with a Master Mariner.

Established in the Middle East since 2006, HFW now boasts 20 partners and nearly 60 lawyers across offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait City, and Riyadh, making it one of the largest practices among international law firms in the region.

The firm, which recently obtained a license from the Saudi Ministry of Justice to practice in the Kingdom, underlines its commitment to the Middle East’s flourishing legal landscape. Yaman Al Hawamdeh, UAE Managing Partner at HFW, emphasizes the significance of this development for the firm, illustrating their dedication to the region’s growth.

Abdulrahman Al-Ohaly, the newly appointed partner, expresses his excitement about joining HFW, citing the firm’s reputation for specialization, excellence, and integrity. Al-Ohaly looks forward to contributing to HFW’s success and growth plans.

This expansion aligns with HFW’s global growth strategy, with 26 new partner additions since the beginning of FY23, strengthening its presence across key regions, including Australia, Hong Kong, London, Paris, and Singapore. As HFW actively pursues leading partners and teams, its commitment to providing exceptional legal services globally remains unwavering.
