Helmy Hamza&Partners Baker McKenzie acted as lender’s counsel for Banque Misr. The legal firm’s role relates to the financing of Egyptian real estate developer Landmark Developments (“LDM”).
Banque Misr, Egbank, and Suez Canal Bank signed a loan agreement valued at EGP 2.8 billion on November 19th. The money will be used to develop a serviced residential project named ‘STEI8HT’ in New Cairo City. The project covers an area of approximately 375 acres.
The financing is structured as a long-term syndicated facility, which will cover the development costs and other project-related expenses.
