Finance Specialist Haris Meyer Hanif Rejoins Allen & Overy
Allen & Overy (A&O) has announced the reappointment of finance specialist Haris Meyer Hanif (pictured), effective January 1, 2024, marking an expansion in the firm’s Middle East restructuring and insolvency practice.
Haris Meyer Hanif returns to A&O from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he served as Head of Finance in MENA for over 11 years. His previous experience includes a two-year tenure at Allen & Overy in Dubai, as well as roles in London. Recognized as a market-leading lawyer, Hanif specializes in intricate restructuring and insolvency matters, leveraged and acquisition financings, and private capital transactions across the Middle East and Africa.
Having played a key role in some of the region’s most innovative restructuring and financings, Hanif, alongside Dubai-based partner Adam Banks, will spearhead a dedicated team of restructuring and capital solutions specialists covering the UAE, KSA, and the broader Middle East region.
