Freshfields promotes two new partners in Middle East

Among the forty-seven new partners in Freshfields’ May 2026 promotion round are two lawyers from the Middle East: James Visick (Abu Dhabi, pictured right) and Ibrahim Attar (Riyadh, pictured left), both members of the firm’s global transactions practice.

James Visick

James Visick is an investment funds lawyer acting for both sponsors and investors across a diverse range of private investment funds. He regularly represents Gulf-based sovereign wealth funds in connection with their global investment programmes.

Ibrahim Attar

Ibrahim Attar’s practice focuses on IPOs and M&A transactions. He advises on corporate and regulatory issues, with a particular emphasis on capital markets, securities issues, and anti-trust matters.
